Access: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Most efficient gateway into Victoria Falls is from Johannesburg with a series of daily direct scheduled flights of 1hr 30min. Primary gateway to Zimbabwe in general is the capital city’s Harare International Airport which has one of the longest runways in Africa (4,725m). Victoria Falls Airport is 21 kms from the resort town and work has commenced on constructing a 4km runway to accommodate wide-body aircraft for direct international flights.

Into Harare:  KLM (Amsterdam via Lusaka), Emirates (Dubai via Lusaka), SAA (JNB), BA Comair (JNB), Zambezi Airlines (JNB), Air Namibia (Windhoek), Air Botswana (Gaborone), SA Airlink (JNB), Ethiopian Airlines (Addis Ababa), Kenya Airways (Nairobi via Lusaka), LAM Mozambique (Maputo, Beira, Vilanculos), SA Express (Durban), TAAG Angola (Luanda).

Into Victoria Falls: SAA (JNB), BA Comair (JNB), Fresh Air (JNB), Air Namibia (Windhoek),  Air Botswana (Maun).

Charter: Various charter airlines offer possibilities for flights originating at Victoria Falls, especially to our recommended add-on destinations of Lake Kariba (Bumi Hills Safari Lodge) and Chobe Botswana (Kasane Airport).

Note: With the United Nations World Tourism Organisation General Assembly due to take place in Victoria Falls and Livingstone in August 2013 the airport and runway at Victoria Falls are being significantly upgraded.
