Activities: Chobe, Botswana

Kasane, the small town adjacent to the Chobe Park, is purely a tourist hub and thus the primary activity here is safari – 4 x 4 or by boat. The river is a lifeline to the animals during the dry season and so a river safari is a thrilling way to view the animals on the vast open floodplains. Fishing for the fighting tiger is also popular and Chobe is a bird watcher’s paradise with over 450 species recorded. Cultural visits to schools or villages are also offered by most hotels and lodges.
