Hardly a week goes by without a significant conference being held in Livingstone or Victoria Falls. There is real momentum, propelled by ever-improving air access and by the awarding of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) global general assembly to Zambia and Zimbabwe as co-hosts in August 2013 at Victoria Falls and Livingstone.

In the years 1989 to 2000 Glen Byrom and his DMC organisation delivered literally hundreds of Incentives and Conferences to Livingstone and Victoria Falls. Now he is back, at the helm of DMC and PCO twiice, to offer that expertise once again.

At the heart of such possibilities and rejuvenation lies The Victoria Falls Lookout, an 800-seater multi-purpose facility near Livingstone to be built and located in 2013 on the banks of the Zambezi River adjacent to the superb four-star David Livingstone Safari Lodge. What an amazing location and international draw-card this will be!

The UNWTO summit will kick-start many other initiatives that will significantly benefit the international conference market, including new conference facilities, refurbishment of existing facilities, longer airport runways to handle direct international flights, etc.

It’s an unfolding story that will drive Livingstone and Victoria Falls to a position of great importance to the Conference market in Africa as it combines first-class facilities with a “Wonder of the World” destination that always transcends expectations.

The new centre, which is now open - click here to see the brochure - seats 260 people and overlooks a wildlife waterhole. Here's where the UNWTO Summit was held in August 2013, their most successful ever.
